School Holiday Wednesday Classes

We have two lovely layout classes planned for the school holiday in addition to our OTP and cards classes revealed last week!

These layout classes are just full of fun, techniques to learn and your child will complete a double page spread in the class.

Classes are $20 which is payable at the time of booking and includes all materials and adhesives.

The class will run on Wednesday 9th April from 10 am to 12 noon or on Wednesday 16th April from 1 pm to 3 pm.

School Holiday Classes

Scrappy Hollow is excited to announce that our very popular school holiday program classes will be running again these school holidays!!!

Designed for children aged 8 and above (although we can cater for 6&7 year olds if a parent can stay) these classes aim to teach new skills and provide fun projects for children to enjoy.  Predominantly focused on girls we can cater for boys - just give us a call and discuss before booking in.

Bookings are essential and are open now.  Payment is required at the time of booking and we can take credit card over the phone or you can call into the store and book in in person.

Samples are now on display in the store.

Cards

Monday 7th April - 10 am to 12 noon $20
Monday 14th April - 1 pm to 3 pm $20

In this class you make a decorated bag and co-ordinated cards with a gorgeous princess theme.

Paper Bag Mini Album

Monday 7th April - 1 pm to 3 pm $20
Monday 14th April - 10 am - 12 noon $20

In this class the children will make a mini album using paper bags.  The album has a series of decorated pages, interactive tag pockets and hand made tags.  Your child will also learn how to ink, paint and distress paper and layer embellishments.  The album is also personalised with an initial of their choice on the cover.  Perfect to make as a gift for a friend, a Mothers Day item for a special mum/grandma or they can make it for them to use themselves.

Children's Classes

We have some fantastic classes running at Scrappy Hollow in September and October.  Our expert teachers have been busy designing some amazing projects.  All classes are $20 per person and everything is supplied! Ideal for children over 8 years (or younger if a parent can stay).

Kid's Paper Piecing

Sam has her regular monthly class running on Saturday October 19th from 10 am - 11.30 am and this month she sill begin the Christmas fun for your children.  In this class your child will make a series of beautiful Christmas cards and a matching decorated gift bag.  There will be embossing, glitter, chipboard, punching and much more in this class and your child will learn many new techniques to take away and continue to use as they create more cards for Christmas at home.

School Holiday Classes

Back by popular demand we have School Holiday Classes running on Monday's and Wednesdays at Scrappy Hollow this coming School Holidays.

 

Today we want to share with you two of the amazing classes your child can attend.  Our wonderful teacher Sotty has designed two classes, one is card making and the other is a gorgeous mini album.

 

Cards

In this card Sotty will show your child how to make a series of bright summer themed cards, matching envelopes and a gift bag.  Your child will learn how to layer embellishments and how to incorporate ribbon and bling into card designs.  The samples are on display in the store and are just stunning.

 

The class will run on Wednesday September 25th from 10am - 12 noon and again on Wednesday October 2nd from 1pm - 3pm.  Cost is $20 and payment is required at the time of booking.

Mini Album

 

Sotty has also designed a very cute mini album for her 2nd SH Class.  Filled with cute embellishments, bling and places for photos and journaling this class is going to be perfect for any child.

 

This class will run on Wednesday September 25th from 1pm - 3pm and again on Wednesday 2nd October from 10am - 12 noon.  Cost is $20 and payment is required at the time of booking.

Scrap the Boys

As the Scrap the Boys class for October would normally run during the school holidays for the month of October Sharon's Class will be kit only so you can all put your pages together when it suits you.  The kit will come with photos and step by step instructions.

 

Kits will be available from October 2nd and are limited.  All orders for kits need to be in ASAP.  Kits are $30 and payment is required at the time of ordering.

School Holiday Classes Begin!

The first of our school holiday children's classes kick off today!  We still have places available in our classes this afternoon and next week. 

Cup Cake Delight

This class is all about cup cakes and surprises.  Your child will make a gift box with a rolled flower on top, a beaded bracelet to go into the gift box, a card and matching envelope all with a deliciously cute cup cake theme.  Great for a gift for friends or for a special mum or grandma for Mothers Day.

Believe Butterfly Frame

In this class your child will paint, decorate and embellish this very cute frame.  They will learn how to punch and create embellishments, apply decorative accents such as bling, glitter and more.  If time permits an additional card can be made from the remaining kits items provided.  Perfect to give as a gift or hang in their room.

Scrap the Boys May

Sharon has some fun in store for her May Scrap the Boys class!!!!  Handmade chevron stripe embellishments!!!!  In this class you will create two layouts that work well together or can be used as stand along pages.  Focusing on a more "boy" theme but still very much suited to the girls too!!!

School Holiday Children's Classes - The Fun Continues!

SCHOOL HOLIDAY CHILDREN'S

CLASSES

Sn@p DVD Tin and Cards

Teghan will show your child how to create this very cool decorated DVD tin and then make so gorgeous cards to go inside the tin using the new sn@p products. Your child will learn card making techniques such as making fish tail banners and paper tearing/distressing.

Here is a snippet and the completed project is on display in the store.

This class will run Monday January 14th from 1pm - 3pm and Monday 21st January from 10am - 12 noon.

Gift Box and Cards

In this class your child will make a decorated gift box and matching gift cards using some beautiful October Afternoon papers. Your child will learn how to punch shapes to decorate the cards, thread and use buttons when paper crafting and also how to use simple cutting lines to create a decorative card front.

This class will run Monday 14th January from 10 am - 12 noon and Monday 21st January from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Butterfly Kisses Decorative Frame

In this class your child will paint and embellish a gorgeous ATC frame with the Kaiser Butterfly Kisses range of papers and 3D stickers, ribbon and bling with the lovely Sarah W. The frame is perfect to show case the special friendship they have with their BFF and would also make a perfect gift. Here is a snippet of the project and you can see the completed project in store.

This class will run January 16th from 10 am - 12 noon and January 23rd from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Fine & Sunny Tag Book

In this class Sarah W will show your child how to make a very cute tag and pocket book using the Kaiser Fine & Sunny range of papers and stickers. They will also use die cut tags, ribbons, bling and punched flowers to add the finishing touches to the project. The book has a series of pocketed pages and tags throughout and they are able to add more pages later if you wish. The project would make a gorgeous mini album, journal, note book etc and would also be a great gift for someone special as well.

MONTHLY CHILDREN'S PAPER PIECING CLASS

The lovely and talented Sam is returning to teach in 2013 with her regular monthly Children's Paper Piecing class.

Her first class for 2013 with be Saturday 23rd February from 10 am - 11.30 am. Cost $20. The project is a very cute school album just perfect to show case their new class friends and teacher etc etc.

With CHA only a few weeks away we are getting ready to bring you heaps of new papers, embellishments, dies, embossing folders and more.  To kick off the new stock arrivals for 2013 we have received some AWESOME ranges from Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp.  Similar to the Simple Stories concept these products are made to ensure your scrapbooking/ journalling  is fast, easy and co-ordinated well.  Card makers will also fall in love with the ranges.

Class News

Our 2013 Dates to Remember and Newsletter up to March 2013 have now been posted on the blog.  Use the tabs across the top of the page to navigate to the item you would like to print or save on your computer.  Instructions are on each page to assist you.

Class bookings are now open.

Payment is required at the time of booking for all classes with the exception of Geraldine's full day class where we ask for a $50 deposit and the balance will be due 1 week before the class date.

In 2013 we are delighted to announce all of our teachers will be returning so here is a quick run down of who will be teaching and what their class will be focusing on (a link to the teachers blogs has also been set up for those who have one so you can see more of their work).

Geraldine Inspired:

Once a month Geraldine will be creating stunning projects. She will run a weekend full day class or a Wednesday morning 2 hour class. Each featuring different projects. Geraldine is very unique and eclectic style.  Her designs are full of techniques ideas to inspire and each month there will be something creative and unique!

Cost: Morning class $30 and Full Day Class TBA each month incl mtrls. 

 

Cards with Sotty:

Learn how to create stunning cards/projects suitable for various occasions.  Each month will have different theme and project Cost $25 including materials.  Tools will need to be brought along to class including cutting tools and adhesives. 

 

Cost: $25 per class

Card Making with Leanne:

Learn how to create stunning and intricate cards suitable for various occasions.  Each month will have different card folding technique, tag or co-ordinated wrapping idea and focus on an array of techniques and include die cut elements. 

 

Cost: $25 including materials.  

Vintage:

Once a month you will create a vintage/heritage style double page layout. Using a variety of papers, embellishments and ribbons.

 

Cost: $35.00 incl materials. Teacher: Sharon

 

NEW! Scrap the Boys:

Once a month you will be creating a stunning male/boy themed layout. In this class you will learn lots of techniques too!

Designed for children ages 5 years and up. Each monthly class will provide your child with the opportunity to create various projects using  paper piecing techniques.
